From chorus trips to sports teams to Venture Crew trips to many first home visits; Family Two had it all this month.
Chorus members Nick M., Max S., Steve W., Kirby C., Emily M., and Jess B. went to the Public Broadcast System’s station in Albany, NY to perform with the rest of the chorus ensemble for a media production airing sometime in spring 2009. In addition, those same students went to Albany for a second trip to sing for the New York State Board of Regents.
Casey W., Jay J., and Mike M. all made the boys’ basketball team for the 2008-09 season. Likewise, Mary F., Sarah V., and Daphne Y. made the girls’ basketball team; Mary and Sarah are the managers for the Lady Falcons. James R. was one of the boys who made the cheerleading squad. All the new teams and the squad have started practicing for the season.
Jess B., Mary F., and Kirby C. went on the Venturing trip and had a blast at the Promise Land State Park. “It was a lot of fun because I never had an experience like this without drugs. I learned a lot and made new friends.” said Kirby.
Family Two welcomed two new Residential Assistants this month. Steve W. and Mary F. received anchors and have stepped into the job nicely. The family also received other new responsibilities, as Jay J. and Aaron Z. received the privilege of junior sponsoring.
