Family Five has settled into the cold November. As the girls’ and boys’ soccer seasons came to an end, the basketball season promptly began. Family Five’s Joslyn P. and Rebecca W. made the girls’ team. Christian H. made the boys’ team for the third consecutive season.
Family Five dominates the Venture Crew with eight members. Six of Family Five’s venturers, Jim M., Jeremy S., Devin C., Jason M., Caitlin R., and Megan R., went to the Promise Land State Park for a two night camping trip.
They enjoyed bonding, hiking, and pitching in to make meals and build fires.
Graduation is right around the corner. Family Five has been helping graduates Stephanie H., Derek R., Jim M., Devin C. and Jeremy S., and program graduates Annisa B. and Jessica W. to prepare for life after The Family Foundation School.
Family Five had four students apply for work study. Joslyn P. got dog training; Andrew C. got performing arts, Christian H. got wood carving, and Megan R. got journalism. Along with being an exciting opportunity, it is a whole new level of responsibility and freedom for these students.
Family Five has welcomed three new students into the school. Marc E. is Christian’s second buddy. Sarah B. is Larissa A.’s first buddy, and Jason D. is Billy W.’s first buddy.
The old and new members of Family Five have been keeping busy as they approach the end of the semester.
Along with all of the fun activities on campus, they are studying for the final exams which are coming up in early December. They are all looking forward to Christmas break, as well!
