FFS Celebrates Thanksgiving

November 16, 2008

It was a day of gratitude at The Family Foundation School, filled with the traditions that make Thanksgiving on campus as memorable as it is anywhere else.

As in the past, students coming down to the house in the morning were greeted by a surprising number of staff who had come in early to spend time with them, and who accompanied them to the chapel where Father Stephen celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass.

Then came family time with the usual assortment of fun and games and the annual Thanksgiving mid-morning snack tray, which whet appetites for the main event: Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings.

Other traditions enjoyed by the students were the two-minute phone calls home, time outdoors down at the firepit, and “The Polar Express,” this year’s movie in the gym.
