Karen R.
Class of June‘03
June 2003 graduate Karen R.’s life has been great since her departure from The Family Foundation School. She joined the army and lives a clean and sober life. While she was in the army she met her husband Donald R., to whom she’s been married for a year; together they have a young son. “The army wasn’t the greatest experience and it wasn’t what I expected, but it was good for me,” said Karen. She is currently out of active duty to take care of baby Donny. The three reside in Binghamton, New York, not far from Karen’s family in Hancock.
For now Karen is a stay at home mom, but she is planning to return to school. She will attend Broome County Community College and study for her major in adolescent education.
