The Family Foundation School boys’ basketball team started their season with a two-day tournament at Milford, New York.

The tournament consisted of two games, the first against the Milford Wildcats on Friday, November 21. The championship game was on November 22, against Cooperstown’s Redskins.

The Family Falcons flew off with a bang during their first game against the Milford Wildcats. The Falcons took the game with a final score of 57-29.

The Falcon’s starting line-up consisted of Will M. playing small forward, Christopher R. on power forward, Khalfani M. as the Falcons center, Christian H. as the point guard, and Jay J. playing shooting guard.

All three forwards, Khalfani, Chris and Will scored 10 points giving the Falcon’s what they needed to win the game.

In the first quarter Chris showed his stuff with piercing defensive skills and an amazing block that left the Wildcats domesticated.

Malik P., the Falcon’s shooting guard also, played a role in the Falcon’s win. Malik scored seven points and also displayed his skill by rebounding the ball and breaking away to soar to the hoop.

The championship game in the Milford Tournament was between the Family Falcons and the Cooperstown Redskins. The Falcons showed immense effort but came up short, 61-36.

Khalfani sat out during the second quarter due to some of his misconduct on the court but proved his way back on the court during the games third with his amazing rebounds, passes, and shots that had the Cooperstown Redskins shaking in their shoes.

Falcon Patrick C. went in during the fourth quarter as point guard and did a phenomenal job, setting up the teams plays with great assists, steals, and shots from the three point line.

With respect for all the Falcon’s hard work, this just wasn’t their nest to land a win in. The Falcons took second place overall in the tournament, winning another trophy for FFS.
