Mr. Geer

Mr. Geer started working at The Family Foundation School in September 1996. Mr. Geer was the head of maintenance for a long while, where he worked hard and long hours on the upkeep at the school. Though he was a very quiet man, he was well known and appreciated around the school.

After being head of maintenance for many years he stepped down and turned the position over to Ed Anderson. He then became the garbage man, arriving at the school very early in the morning.

“I really enjoyed coming into the kitchen and drinking coffee with my head chef, Joe Barbiere,” said Mr. Geer.

Just like the other three staff members, Geer has retired so the newer staff could keep their jobs in this time of economic troubles. “The real Richard Geer, not the Hollywood actor,” said Brian McNeece, after he commended Geer for being such a hard worker.

Though Geer has retired from the school, he will stay in touch with the people he has grown close to.
