Dontis W. returned the weekend of January 24 to visit his friends and family at The Family Foundation School. He has been living at home and on Monday, January 26, he started school at New York City Tech, where he is pursuing his interest in business and music.
Dontis has been attending meetings and has met many people, but he sticks mostly to his friends who have graduated from FFS. He said his life is “hard, fun, exciting, sad, and awesome,” all at once, and that he is using the tools he learned here in practical situations, like getting along with his parents and budgeting his money.
Dontis advises the newcomer to “have acceptance and give honesty a shot. You never know what you’re going to get.”
