At the start of the New Year, Family Two is already on it’s way to the top. With new students, new staff and new responsibilities the family has been engaging with each other.
Ted W., Demetri S., Erika C., and Nadine N. are Family Eight students who are now adjusting to Family Two. Family leader Audra Towsley said, “[The four] have been contributing well, they have tendencies to regroup with Family Eight, but that’s normal.”
Nadine, here just a little over a month, said “I was in Family Eight for only a month when we all got switched; I had just started to get adjusted.”
Three new staff members in Family Two, Terry McCarthy, Connie Gotthardt, and Paul Geer have contributed in their own ways.
All the staff still have the same amount of love, caring contribution, and willingness to help out the students, as they did when they were in their previous family’s.
Since graduation, things have changed for everyone. More students are stepping up as senior members where graduated seniors left a gap. “They are learning to bring themselves up to a level of awareness” said Sid Parham, co-leader.
Since graduation most of Family Two’s senior members left, and several students have been stepping into their places to fill the gaps.
Mike M. was given buddying and shadowing, James R. received junior sponsoring, Rosellen E. got junior sponsoring and shadowing, Daphne Y. was granted shadowing, and Sarah V. was given buddying and shadowing.
