Caitlin F.
December Class of 2008
Caitlin F. is a former student from Family Six who graduated in December 2008. Caitlin returned to The Family Foundation School for Family Day on Saturday March 21 to see the play and to catch up with old friends. She is doing well and is loving life. She is living with her father and does volunteer work at a hospital. She attends Nassau Community College and will be working in a restaurant this coming summer.
Caitlin has been attending A.A. meetings. She has made some new friends and keeps in contact with other alumni from FFS. While transitioning into the outside world after having been at The Family School, she struggled with loneliness, but with the help of her family and good friends she worked through the discomfort.
Caitlin loves life. “This place can save your life, take advantage of it,” Caitlin advised the newcomer. She also said “If you want it, you can have it.”
