Chris S.
December Class of 2006
Chris S. looked vibrant on his return to The Family Foundation School on March 20. He is attending SUNY Fredonia as a psychology major, with a minor in criminal justice.
He is engaged to Carmen A., but they have not set a date for the wedding yet.
Upon arriving at The Family School, Scott was mean and cutting and did not care about other peoples’ feelings. He ended up leaving FFS with a couple of really good friends, whom he still stays in contact with.
When asked what the most important thing he learned at FFS was, Chris said, “I learned how to be a friend. I learned how to be myself.”
To keep what he learned at The Family School, Chris attended meetings at first. His biggest help was attending mass three days a week, as well as on Sunday.
Going to weekly confession was another very important contribution to Chris’s recovery. He still attends mass every week.
Chris lives a happy life, and attributes most of it to attending The Family School.
