Ian M.
Class of December 2006
Ian M. graduated from The Family Foundation School in December 2006. Since Ian’s departure from FFS his biggest struggle has been finding out who he really is. Ian has found that “jumping into the program” through getting a sponsor and support group has been his biggest help in staying sober and finding out who he really is.
Ian lives in Scranton, Pa. and attends Lackawanna College. During his free time Ian plays in a hardcore band called CHURCH (Christ Helping Us Reach Cold Hearts) with other alumni from the school and people in recovery. Ian also attends church on a regular basis, and loves getting involved in positive things through helping others out.
“Be honest, open-minded, and willing” is Ian’s advice to the newcomer. Ian enjoys returning to FFS and sharing his experience, strength, and hope with the students.
