Rob M.
Class of June 2008
Rob M. graduated from The Family Foundation School in June 2008. Rob’s biggest struggle has been making new friends since he left FFS. Rob said, “Getting a sponsor and using my sponsor for help has been crucial in my recovery.”
Rob lives in Scranton, Pa. and attends Marywood College where he lives in the dorm with alumni from the school. During his free time Rob enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, working, and hanging out with his friends that are in recovery. Rob attends meetings on a regular basis and works to maintain a healthy relationship with God.
Rob’s advice to the newcomer is, “Find God in your life, and no matter how hard life gets never give up.” He also advises recovering people to get connected with sober people. Rob has returned to FFS numerous times since he graduated and enjoys coming back to the school and sharing with others what has helped him in recovery.
