This month Family Three has been getting ready for a fresh start as spring arrives and enjoying some quality time together. Family leaders Chris Stein and Lindy McCarthy organized a weekend of program activities to help clean house.
The family had a Friday “Big Ten,” a long group in which students worked through their issues in a more intense fashion than a normal table topic. In this particular Big Ten, the students worked through their resentments with each other. “We did a good job,” said Shari M. As a reward for all that hard work, Family Three threw a Saturday party. “The staff organized the whole thing for us,” said Shelby R., who was very pleased with the event.
The family welcomed Kyle F. this month, who is Brian S.’s first buddy.
Britney L. left the family this month to continue her journey towards a G.E.D. Although the family will miss her, they are glad that she left on a good note and is continuing on her path to a better life.
