Senior Floor staff member Tommy Cummings has accepted the new position of Student Life Manager. In describing the job, Rita Argiros, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, said, “[It’s to] put focus on the atmosphere of the school and to make sure the students are following the rules.”

Argiros gave Cummings the position to replace Thomas “Woody” Wood, the former head of Senior Floor and Family Leader of Family Six. “I stepped down as Head of Senior Floor because I got moved to Family Six and I had to focus on my new family,” explained Wood.

As Student Life Manager, Cummings is in charge of the floor staff (including the Senior Floor staff members) and the student advisors, in addition to coordinating the students’ activity periods during the week. Cummings described his job as “holding people accountable, holding myself accountable, and doing what’s asked of me.”

March was Cummings’s first month as Student Life Manager. He commented, “The job’s been going real well. I’ve been getting a lot of support from staff. We’re just tightening up some loose ends… and we’re trying to get some more people involved.”

The staff and students have confidence that Cummings will fulfill his duties as Student Life Manager. “I think he will do a good job,” said Wood.
