Administration
In response to the economic downturn, the fireworks show, which usually takes place the night before graduation, has been canceled this year.
The administration has been holding staff training sessions to teach better methods of de-escalating students who have a hard time taking in and dealing with criticism. Rita Argiros, Vice President of Administrative Affairs, has been leading the sessions and working with senior students to help them use more compassion when dealing with students going through a hard time.
The campus life office and main business office switched locations this month, so administration can be more involved with senior floor staff and student life. Dog training’s trailer is scheduled to be complete at the beginning of June.
Student Government
Student Government is planning a school-wide cleanup day. The objective of the day is to help students take pride in The Family Foundation School, while contributing to make the school the best that it can be.
Maintenance
Maintenance continued work on the new dorm building. The team needed to spend a lot of time cutting the grass at the beginning of May. Four college students—Anthony A, Eric Anderson, Karl Anderson, and Eric Peterson—joined the maintenance crew for the summer. The summer workers took over landscaping so the rest of the team can continue working on the new dorm.
