Stepping up and growing up were a big part of Family Three this month. The family, as family leader Lindy McCarthy said, “is in transition.”
The younger boys in the family, who have been here for about six months, are starting to step up, help out and support a lot more around the family. Gillian M. received junior sponsoring this month and Shari M. is Family Three’s new anchor.
The family also lost a few students in May which was hard on the family as a whole. To help the students re-group the family had a party. Brett K. said, “It was a chance for Family Three to relax and feel good about our recent accomplishments.”
McCarthy said the family is in the process of planning a graduation party in June. During the month Brett and Tony W. both participated in the Boy Scout overnight trip to a battleship.
Family Three students and staff take pride in their softball players Denise T., Kassia B., Brenda M., and
Alena T., who are continuing to work their hardest for the team.
The family was happy to be part of the Memorial Day celebrations at The Family Foundation School and designed a presentation for the school’s parade. McCarthy said “Family Three is a beautiful group of kids and I enjoy working with them.”
