Family Six has been busy this month with preparation for graduation, trips, and more!
Many of the kids have been stepping up and giving back so they can fill the role of the graduates when they leave. Josh R. received junior sponsoring, and Shari E. and Andrew B. got both junior sponsoring and buddy and shadowing.
Family Six waved good-bye and good luck to staff member Joan Parham.
In the beginning of the month Laura W. was awarded the Scholar Athlete Award.
Also this month Phil D., Tyler W., Paul P., Ben B., Chris B., Josh R., and Jess B. enjoyed the thrill of participating in the North American Music Festival in Hershey, Pa. and were proud to bring home a few trophies.
One thing Family Six has worked hard on is their respect. “We were struggling a lot with respecting staff and each other, but there has been a huge improvement and now everyone has been getting along great!” explained Regina C. “They work great as a family unit,” added Family Leader Thomas “Woody” Wood.
Many of the students have been stressed with all the studying and test-taking coming up. But they are striving to do their best.
