Family One said goodbye to eight members this month. They had their graduation party at Oquaga Creek.

Andrew A., Ethan M., Andrew S., and Sheree B. graduated from The Family Foundation School with Regents diplomas.

Sean S., Ali L., and Sophie W. graduated the program and will be continuing high school at home. Dave S. also left to go to a new school in Boston.

Ali L. and Elizabeth K. have shown more responsibility and are now able to buddy and shadow.

Georgia P. was selected as the kitchen’s intern for the upcoming semester.

Natasha S. and Nash B. are both going home for their first time at the start of July.

Family One enjoyed re-instituting their “fun nights” (hosted by Aneeb A.) on the weekends, where students get up at the table during dinner and give various performances. One memorable performance was Dave K.s screaming rendition of “La Bamba.”

Greg R., Matt W., Nash, Sophie, and Georgia were delighted to see that their sunflowers (planted outside of Family One’s living area) are growing. After their plants were stomped on, the group took matters into their own hands, putting up signs letting people know not to ruin their hard work.

Since they put up the signs the plants have been thriving.
