Sunday Activities at the Family Foundation School

Sundays are a busy but different time at The Family School. A typical Sunday in the summer includes several different activities along with a barbecue for lunch.

Students start their morning with an assigned activity with their family members. These activities include indoor or outdoor basketball, soccer, football, softball, Frisbee, and volleyball.

“It’s fun to have a chance to play volleyball and spend time with your family,” said Family Three’s John R. “It [the barbeque] is a break from normal lunch and it’s nice to be outside.”

After the barbeque, students are assigned to a different activity with their families until dinner.
To help keep Sundays from coming too monotonous, every couple of Sundays, a sign-up sheet is passed around to the families so that students can choose which activity they want to participate in.

If weather conditions are poor, families are usually inside watching movies or catching up on some sleep in the dorm.

“It is fun spending time with the family doing activities together,” said Family Four’s Kevin B.
