“I can hardly contain my jubilation,” said Kendra S., the new counseling department intern.
The new student intern list is up. There are a total of 18 future interns for next semester, and they’re all grateful to be given the opportunity to help out the Family Foundation School community, as well as earn a scholarship, which is applied to their parents’ tuition costs.
Student interns work for the school while still attending some classes. The interns must be in the last six months at FFS, and be taking no more than four classes.
“I’m really excited to start working,” said Sarah W., the girls’ laundry/campus life intern. It is a great privilege to be selected as a student intern at FFS. You must have good grades and be trusted by the staff and students.
Students seek intern positions for a number of reasons: to repay their parents a little bit for everything they have done for them; to gain work experience and to enhance college and job applications.
“I decided to apply for an internship because I felt that it was a very good decision to make in this point in my life,” said Austin C., the new Math/Science Department intern. “I was told by the former interns that this position is a stupendous way of giving some service and charity to my fellow students, not to mention I’m getting paid to be at The Family School.”
The new interns begin their training this month and are eager to get to work in July.
