The votes are in for the August student of the month elections, and Georgia P. of Betton House is the winner!
Georgia has attended The Family Foundation School for a year now and is a classic example of how the program works if you work it. She has learned to utilize her higher power and “the table” when she needs help or is going through a hard time.
Before arriving at FFS, Georgia’s life was unmanageable. “I never thought that I would be student of the month, it is a goal that I never aimed for at home… Since coming to FFS, I have done a lot of work on myself and I am proud of the person I am today.”
Georgia is in her last six months at FFS and is a residential assistant as well as the kitchen intern. She is working hard in the kitchen, and is upholding the principles of the school. Georgia is also focusing on helping others out before she graduates in December. “The advice I can give for the newcomer or kids struggling at the school is to utilize the tools they have around them, such as sponsors, junior sponsors, and the school as a whole.”
