The Family Foundation School has just gone through some big changes these past few months. One of the biggest changes was Robin Ducey stepping down from her position as principal and Ann Argiros-Janaeur taking over.
Janaeur took over the position of principal because Ducey wished to focus on family leading and her art classes. In an interview with Janaeur she said she didn’t hope to remain in the position of principal too long; the school is searching for someone qualified to take over the job. Ducey was principal for over 20 years and the school will certainly miss her.
Janaeur has a lot on her plate as it is. She teaches chemistry and adding the job of principal of the school is a tough challenge. With the recent changes in the school there’s a lot to expect from her this semester. Janaeur has one thing she hopes to accomplish in particular. “I hope to develop the resources for professional development of teachers, and improve their presenting practices and teaching ability.”
The future is looking bright for Janaeur. The administration decided to change the school schedule from activities every day after school to study halls with the option of an activity. This was done in the attempt to give the students more study time to raise their grades.
