With a lot of things to do and so little time, this month has been a strenuous one for Talbot House. With the play and other events, like working in the gardens around campus and 12-Stepping new additions to the family, Talbot House has been quite busy.

Andrew D., Kate D., Nick P., Matt V. and Austin C. performed in the school’s musical, while Dave M. and Liam M. assisted with the stage crew and band.

Also, Andrew, Liam, Dave, Henry W., and Brendan O. have been busy with community service around the school, helping Jan Cheripko with planting, transplanting and weeding the gardens.

Alumni Dan C., who has been doing well since he graduated last June, and has called back to share his experience, strength, and hope, which has helped the family tremendously.

Talbot House has also welcomed a few new students from other families. Sarah B., Karen S. and staff member Aleta Kahn from Smith House have recently moved to Talbot. “The change is fine, everything is great,” said Karen.

Though there is much work to be done around in the family, they’ve had a lot of fun, too. Recently Bobby R. challenged Scott Cole to a Michael Jackson dance-off, which resulted in Cole being dubbed “King of the King of Pop.” Also, Family Leader Dawne Possamato had a “Make Your Own Cookie Sundae” party for the family.
