Tyler W.

Class of June ’09

Tyler W. was an all- around brat. He lost his drive for doing the right thing by isolating from the people around him, and fell onto a dark path before arriving at The Family Foundation School on April 25, 2007.

For six months he did nothing, acting like he did not care about life. But he did care, and finally began to get the help he needed. At the end of his stay, he applied for work-study and ended up spending his last six months working in admissions with his best friend Laura W, another June 09’ graduate.

Tyler was an awesome kid and had a lot of friends. Many people looked up to him for advice. He had a way of helping and pushing them in the right direction.

Before graduating from the school, his dad, James “Willy” Williamson, joined the staff at the school, and was recently named FFS Athletic Director. Willy has a lot of experience, strength, and hopes that he shares with students, and is always happy to let them know how his son is doing.

Tyler does a lot to protect his sobriety, including traveling, attending meetings, and focusing on his schoolwork at Marywood University where he’s a student. He also enjoys movies, and shopping at the mall with his FFS friend Laura.

His message for the newcomer is “The faster you do something to change, the faster you will leave the school.”
