Andre G.
Class of December’08
Family Foundation School alumnus, Andre G., visited the school for an AA speakers’ meeting with three other alumni on September 13. The entire student body gathered in the gym for an hour to ask the former students questions. Andre shared some advice to the students from his experience at FFS and how he deals with life outside of the school.
Andre arrived at the school on February 21, 2006 with drug and behavioral problems. He graduated in December 2008 and is now attending Hunter College in Manhattan. He still stays in contact with friends from the school and spends time having sober fun with them. His biggest struggle since he left FFS is being grateful for his current circumstances, to be unselfish and not always want things. Andre’s advice to students is to attend meetings as much as possible because that has been the biggest help to him since graduation.
