Pat P.

Class of December ’08

Family Foundation School former student, Pat P., recently visited the campus for the September Family Day play. Pat was a member of Family One, now known as Betton House, for 20 months. He was a high school dropout, depressed, and couldn’t behave when he arrived at FFS. Pat didn’t have many troubles at the school, but he said his hardest struggle was allowing himself to have inner peace and happiness.

Currently, he attends school at Orange County Community College in Goshen, N.Y. He is majoring in education and hopes to become a college professor, teaching Shakespearean literature one day.  He works part time in a convenience store and does PR for the company. For sober fun, Pat participates in theatre arts with friends from school, and he still keeps in contact with people from FFS. His advice to students here is to be open and accepting of change.
