October was a very busy month for Mann House students.
Sukkot allowed a great deal of fun for not only the Jewish students, but for the whole community.
Along with the other houses, Mann House made a banner for the Sukkot celebration, and came in third place. Rabbi Michele Medwin gave the family brownies as a reward for the hard work and effort. The students were very excited to receive this special treat and were grateful for Rabbi Medwin’s contribution.
Several students had birthdays this month. Hunter L. made the decision to stay after turning 18.
Candice M. celebrated her 17th birthday. She was upset that she was not home, but she was happy to be with her family here.
Jeff W. celebrated his 16th birthday here and is trying to live his life to the fullest.
Jake S., a June 2009 program graduate, has been calling back every other week to keep in touch with the family. He is keeping his head up and is doing very well.
Evan H. and Rebecca B. both received the privilege of buddying and shadowing newcomers as they have been doing the right thing.
