Lake House News

December 17, 2009

By Brendan O.

This month Lake House has been trying to pull together and be more accepting towards one another. Ted M. received junior sponsoring, and Nelson B. was given the responsibility of buddying and shadowing.

Also, Ted M. and Joseph S. were named new dorm leaders.

All the students are trying to do more program work and improve their lives. As a result, some have gotten off family blackout and other sanctions.

As a family, Lake House has been doing much better academically, raising their averages and striving to pass their classes. They are also well represented on the basketball teams with Joseph S., Isaac M., Tyler B., and Max R. on the boys’ team, and Nadine N. and Denise T. playing for the Lady Falcons.

“We just need to learn to be more patient and understanding,” said Lake House staff Jason Garner, “and we need to learn to be nicer to each other.”

As the students look forward to December graduation, they were happy to learn that the Lake House graduates have been accepted to the colleges of their choice.
