The Family Foundation School Presents a Modified Production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
By Ross A.
“Bah, humbug,” Ben B. exclaimed, playing Ebenezer Scrooge during the Family Players’ performance of “A Dickens of a Christmas” on December 4.
The Family Foundation School chorus presented the new hit musical based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The musical was chosen to change things a bit from the usual choral performance that The Family School presents each year during the yuletide season. As a member of the band, Liam M. said, “I think we sounded great musically and vocally, and everyone performed well.”
“A Dickens of a Christmas” combined music, singing, dancing, and acting to arouse the Christmas spirit at the school and in the hearts and minds of friend and neighbors from the surrounding community. Between acts the Family Singers sang holiday favorites, and the FFS dance classes combined tap, jazz and ballet numbers.
“The show definitely pepped up my Christmas spirit,” said Rosie E.
Apparently Rosie wasn’t the only one who liked the show.
“I found it to be enjoyable, heartwarming for the holidays, and a wonderful gift to give to the community,” said choral director Paul Geer.
