Eric G.
Class of December 2008
Eric G. was at The Family Foundation School for 26 months before graduating in December 2008. He came directly from a wilderness program and was involved in chorus, debate, and the fall musical while he was at the school. Things were not easy for Eric in the beginning, but through faith and working with his sponsor he came to believe that he could live a sober life.
After graduating, Eric moved to southern Maryland. He now attends George Mason University full time where he is studying vocal music. He lives with three guys who are also sober. Going to AA meetings is a huge part of Eric’s life. He loves helping people and stays close to alumni from the school.
His family is another priority for him and he enjoys hanging out with his brothers and sister.
“Read page 164 in the big book,” advises Eric. “It is influential to my sobriety because it explains the solution to my illness.”
