Week of House Competitions Ends with Talent Show

By Brooke C.

This winter break, The Family Foundation School houses participated in a week-long competition with one another.

The week concluded with a talent show and arts competition in which every student participated. The houses set up their own booths to display their artwork, and combined all of their individual talents to perform a 20-minute show for the rest of the school.

The first to go on stage was Wilson House, followed by Mann House, Talbot House, Lake House, and Betton House. The shows consisted of many different acts, including skits, songs, reading excerpts, and dances. Each house also came up with an original song. The art show was a well coordinated collection of paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and photographs, and also included a bird house made by each family.

The winner of the arts show was Mann House. Lake House got second place, Wilson House came in third, and Betton House and Talbot House tied for fourth.

After the talent show and the arts displays were judged, the final scores of all of the families were calculated. Mann House came in first overall, Lake House followed in second, then Betton House at third, Wilson House fourth, and Talbot House fifth.
