Kirby C.

Class of June ‘09

Kirby C. came to The Family Foundation School on September 5, 2007. Before that her life consisted of disrespect towards her father, drugs, and other reckless behavior. She was welcomed into Family Two where she says that the girls and her family and Iris, her sponsor, were her biggest helps.

Kirby struggled with honesty and said that the major turning point of her stay was on Honesty Day when she received her anchor pin. She was very involved with the Performing Arts Department at FFS and was in show choir, chorus, and the fall musical.

Since graduating from FFS in June 2008, Kirby has kept the principles of the school close to her heart. She is still a spiritual person and has worked hard to develop good relationships with her family and friends.

She is currently working as an Internet Response Expert and is attending school at Norwalk Community College.

Her advice to the newcomer is to get rid of dishonesties. “If you can just be honest with yourself and others, then everything will turn around,” said Kirby.
