Patrick M.
Class of June ‘09
Patrick M. arrived at The Family Foundation School in December 2007. He was welcomed into Family Eight, and when it dissolved, he was put in Family Five, where he spent the last six months of his stay.
At first Patrick was resistant to change. He didn’t want what the program had to offer and wanted nothing to do with The Family School. However, at a certain point in his stay he decided to change. He wanted to get involved in the school and the program. His turning point came when he “became sick and tired of being sick and tired…” four or five months into his stay. He got honest for the first time and began helping people in his family and around the school.
Patrick graduated in June of 2009. He is a student at the City College of New York. What he misses most about The Family School is “definitely the people and the spiritual environment.” His advice to the newcomer: “Try to seek the truth and the love that this place offers.”
