February proved to be a very strenuous month for Mann House. The biggest task the family undertook was the task of moving into a new space.

Mann House students spent the day moving their family’s furniture, TV, board games, lockers, and unity into a new space. “The move was fun, and although there were some disagreements, we got everything done and settled on a layout that was suitable for the whole family,” said Hunter L.

The family has successfully adapted to its new space and is adjusting accordingly. The new space is on the lower level of the house building where Lake House was located before they moved to the upper floor. It was repainted and remodeled for the arrival of Mann House.

The old space on the middle floor is currently being renovated and will be used for a large study hall area once the changes are completed.

Mann House had two transferees from other Houses: Dave M. and Will R., from Talbot and Lake House, respectively.

Though the family had a difficult time during snow shoveling crew, they gave anchor pins to Evan H. and Phillip P. Several students, including Brian O., Evan P., and Dave M., received junior sponsoring privileges.

The off-campus trip Mann House won during the House competitions over Winter Break has been postponed due to some poor behavior by students in the family. “There is no specific date planned for the trip, but when Mann House starts to do better we will figure out when it will be,” said family leader Joe Petriella.

Although February included a few struggles, every family needs that in order to grow, and Mann house is strong enough to move through it.
