Talbot House started off the month doing very well academically.
Regents scores came out and the results were impressive for many Talbot House students. In U.S. history Brooke C. got a 94% and Nick P. received an 87%. In earth science, Kevin D. got a 92%, and in English Liam M. scored a 96%, followed by Pat M. who got a 95% and Cresse M. who got a 93%.
Talbot House students have also gotten involved in various sports teams. Kate D. and Karen S. were joined by Michelle J. on the girl’s basketball team this month. Kate said, “I’m not very good at basketball, but being on a team is a good experience for me. We’ve all become really close and it’s a good opportunity for Michelle, who’s newer, to get to know girls outside the family. I have a lot of fun practicing with her.” In addition, Michelle J., Lindsay R., and Karen S. went out for the softball team.
Talbot House also got involved in the performing arts with Nick P., Raven S., Drew D., and Brooke C. attending show choir. The boys of Talbot House are also moving into a different dorm and cleaning the one they’ve lived in.
