Hancock’s Holy Name Society is sponsoring a community bingo game for the benefit of the Hancock Education Foundation. Knitted afghans will be given as prizes in the game, to be held on April 18 at Father Rausch Hall.
The Hancock Education Foundation will use the proceeds for Hancock’s Childrens’ Center, pre-school and after-school programs, the Scholar of the Month program, and college scholarships for HCS graduates.
“I believe that children are our future and that we need to provide for them to better our community,” says Socorro Marin, who is collecting the afghans. If you have or can make a new afghan to donate, please contact Marin at (607) 637-2582.
