Neil F.
Class of ‘95
Many things were different when alumni, Neil F. was at The Family Foundation School. Neil arrived at FFS in 1995 and was here for two years. When he first arrived there was one family and only 70 students at the school. When he left in 1997 there was four families and Finch spent most of his stay in Family Three.
Things were not easy for Neil at first. In his first month he ran away numerous times and he had a huge problem respecting and listening to authority. Mike Argiros, Mary Hanstine, and former staff named Gill Rizzi helped him to work through his anger and emotional problems.
Although there were hard times, Neil has a lot of fond memories from his time at FFS. While he was here, him and his fellow graduates helped dig the foundation for the building that FFS students now go to school in every day. He also remembers when he and The Family Singers went to Virgina Beach for a chorus competition. They were accompanied by the entire school and had fun visiting Busch Gardens.
Today Neil is living in Binghamton and graduated from Broome Community College with a degree in broadcasting and media arts. He previously worked for a local television company in New York City and is planning on going back to school to get his bachelor’s degree in broadcasting.
