Building in Hancock Moves Toward a Fall Finish
By Jake H.
After two idle months, construction of the new Lourdes Clinic has picked up. The building on the corner of East Main St. and Read St. in downtown Hancock is beginning to take shape.
Two walls, the west wall and the east wall, have been completed and the north wall is in the process of construction. Soon after the walls are fully complete, the concrete foundation will be poured, covered and cured.
The drying and curing process will take from two to four weeks, and should start in a matter of weeks.
If everything remains on schedule, the structural elements of the clinic will be complete by March and the project will be finished in September of this year.
According to Dr. Richard Berg M.D., the leading practitioner, the progress is right on schedule. “The project manager is a class A act,” said Dr. Berg. “Everything is running perfectly with no complaints.”
