Khalfani M.
Class of December ‘09
Khalfani M. was sent to The Family Foundation School for getting in trouble with the law, for disrespecting his family, and for lying, cheating, and stealing. He arrived in June of 2008 and stayed at the school for 18 months.
Khalfani’s stay was not an easy one. He struggled with his emotions for a long time. “Getting control of my anger was the hardest thing for me,” he said. After a couple of months of resistance to trying something new, Khalfani gave up fighting and began to practice working the 12 steps. “The support of the staff and my friends helped me to work through tough times,” said Khalfani.
Since graduating in December of ‘09, Khalfani is attending community college and keeping busy. He keeps in touch with other alumni, and hangs out with friends in his free time. He is grateful for his time spent at FFS because it helped him to get a handle on his anger and helped him work through a hard time in his life.
