Our world is in desperate need of an energy reform. We need to revolutionize the way we look at energy. Let’s face it, the non-renewable fossil fuel energy sources that have sustained us for so long are being rapidly depleted. Most experts estimate that our current supply of fossil fuels will last us only for the next 50-70 years at best. The worst case scenario, assuming that developing and third world countries begin to use larger and larger amounts of fossil fuels, would mean depletion within the next 17-20 years.
Not only are our supplies of fossil fuels vanishing before our very eyes but they are also destroying the world we live in. The burning of fossil fuels emits billions of tons of pollution every year.
There are numerous types of clean, renewable energy sources under study and many that are already available. This section of our paper is about just that: spotlighting the many different forms of renewable energy that are being developed and may become the next ‘big thing’ in energy, along with simply reporting about the environment at large.
