Girl Students Move Into New Dorm on Campus

The day has finally come! The Family Foundation School welcomed the newest addition to the campus, a brand new dorm that will house all the girls in the school.

On Thursday, June 10 the 52 girls that live on campus spent most of the day moving their belongings into their new living space.

Construction on the dorm began in July of 2008 and ended with installing finishing touches this month. Ed Anderson head of maintenance was pleased, overall, with how the construction on the dorm went. “Construction went better than expected considering that we have a very small staff and also had to look after the rest of the campus, as well.

Rita Argiros, Vice President of Administrative Affairs, decided to move the girls at the beginning of this month rather than wait until after graduation. “I think it is important for the seniors to live in the dorm, even if it is for a short time. They can help the new girls get settled,” she said.

The girls were extremely grateful for the hard work of the maintenance department and for the beautiful dorm that they can now call their home. “The new dorm is spacious and beautiful,” said Lake House’s Lily G.

“It’s huge and beautiful,” said senior student Denise T.

A special thanks to the Maintenance Department for all of their hard work on the girls dorm!
