IPads Coming Soon to FFS

Apple’s Inc. has revealed a new iPad with sharper display and faster systems. Rather than create a new name, the chief executive, Tim Cook, presented it simply as “the new iPad.”
The iPad’s many features make it an ideal tool for teachers, and it is already being used as such at FFS.
Ann Januaer, Dean of Students, and Gerald Janauer, Academic Dean, were the first staff to use the iPad 2 for teaching, and they say the new technology has made their work more efficent.
This summer the school adminisrators decided to buy units for all the teachers; they’re due to arrive in July.
The iPads will allow the teachers to access all the material they need directly from the screen: lesson plans, texts, and student assignments. Along with the boosted efficiency, the iPads will help cut down on paper use.
“We’re hoping they will replace textbooks,” said Ann Janauer.
After the teachers get their iPads, the administration plans to equip the students with iPads also. The units will be provided for the students by their parents, and will go home with the students when they leave the school.
The administration hopes to have everyone, teachers and students, equiped with iPads by the fall semester.
The new iPad’s starting price is the same as the current iPad 2. It has four times as many pixels as the iPad 2 and more than some high-definition televisions. The new iPad has a screen resolution of 1536x 2048 along with wireless Wi-Fi and 4G LTE, retina display, and voice dictation.
