The Family School Times Officially Goes Online

By Tyler M.
The Family School Times has moved online. The online edition will provide more stories, images, digital extras and photo galleries that are all linked together in layers to provide you with endless variety.
The current print version of The Family School Times went into production 14 years ago under the supervision of journalism teacher and newspaper founder, Chris Stein. Readers were supplied with a detailed account of The Family School in a nutshell. Hydro Fracking, Elm Street fire, graduation barbeques and many other local and community events covered the front pages.
The Family Times replaced the newsletter Stepping Stone, which was first produced by current journalism teacher, Cindy Ray-Argiros and a few dedicated students. When Stein arrived at FFS in 1997 he published an in-house newspaper until 2004 when he and President Mike Argiros decided to produce a newsprint version. This expanded circulation to include the community of Hancock, giving local residents a closer look at student life at The Family School.
The more than 8,000 subscribers will continue to receive a quarterly newsletter published by the journalism students at The Family School. “We hope to keep many of the features that our current subscribers enjoy. Because the online version will be updated daily we will be able to inform our readers about news and events much sooner,” said Ray-Argiros.
The last edition of The Family Times will go out at the end of December. The first quarterly newsletter is expected to hit the stands in March.
