A Kick Start to the Soccer Season

The Family School Boys Varsity Soccer team started the season with a 4-1 winover Tri-Valley Wednesday September 5th.
With home-field advantage, Falcons goalie Will M. saved 11 shotsletting only one goal get by. With long kicks down field and head balls both teams battled for possession. With a breakaway down field junior, Matt S., scored the first goal of the game. Moments later he scored a second goal, beating the defense down field with a great pass and assist from senior Alex T.. Matt’s four goals gave the Falcons a 4-0 lead.
Heading into the second half the Falcons defense was relentless. With a great cross and a head ball in the goal, Tri Valley’s Tyler G. scored their first and only point of the game. As the second half was winding down the Falcons had 19 shots on goal and Tri-Valley had 11 shots.
“I thought it was a good learning experience for those who haven’t played, including me. The defense was well-coordinated by sweeper Daniel F.,” said senior Tyler M..
